BAYOU L’OURSE – Sheriff Leland Falcon of Assumption Parish has announced the arrest of 37-year-old Randy Germond Clark from Amelia, after he was linked to two theft incidents through extensive investigations.

Authorities were called to investigate on April 1, 2024, regarding two separate reports of theft—one on LA 662 and another on Lajaunie Court. During these investigations, sheriff’s deputies gathered substantial evidence including video footage showing both the perpetrator and his vehicle which led to a positive identification of Clark as the suspect involved.

After concluding their investigation, deputies secured warrants for Clark’s arrest and enlisted the assistance of the Morgan City Police Department. Together they located Clark at an apartment complex along Highway 182 in Morgan City. Searches conducted thereafter at Clark’s residence and vehicle led to the recovery of goods stolen from the Bayou L’Ourse community.

Clark was taken into custody and handed over to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office. He was then processed at the Assumption Parish Detention Center on April 3, 2024, and is facing charges that include felony theft with values between $1,000 and $5,000, as well as misdemeanor theft.
