JEANERETTE, La. — A man wanted in connection with a 2024 shooting in Jeanerette has been arrested.
According to the Jeanerette Police Department, Tyrin Lashawn Gabriel was located by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office and taken into custody on September 1, 2026, on an outstanding warrant issued by Jeanerette Police.
Gabriel was wanted for his alleged involvement in a shooting that occurred on November 6, 2024. He faces a charge of Principal to Attempted Second-Degree Murder.
Following his arrest, Gabriel was booked into the Jeanerette City Law Enforcement Center before being transferred to the Iberia Parish Jail.
Jeanerette Police Chief Moore thanked Lafayette Parish Sheriff Mark Garber and members of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in locating and apprehending Gabriel.
Gabriel is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
