Jeanerette Police Arrest Baldwin Man in April Shots-Fired Investigation

JEANERETTE, La. — Jeanerette Police have announced an arrest in connection with an April shooting incident that left several residences damaged.

According to the Jeanerette Police Department, officers responded at approximately 12:29 a.m. on April 29, 2026, to multiple reports of shots fired near Milo’s Apartments on La Rue Jennifer Ann.

Investigators said two groups of people had been involved in an altercation that escalated into gunfire. Several residences were struck during the incident, but no injuries were reported.

Detectives developed several suspects during the investigation.

On August 19, police arrested Tydric Jamar Fleming, 22, of Baldwin in connection with the case.
Fleming was booked on the following charges:

Illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities
Four counts of aggravated criminal damage to property
Possession of a firearm or carrying a concealed weapon by a person convicted of certain felonies

Police said Fleming remained in custody following his arrest. Bond has since been set at $140,000.
The case will be forwarded to the 16th Judicial District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

Jeanerette Police Chief Terrance Moore Sr. thanked the Baldwin Police Department, assisting law enforcement agencies, members of the public and officers involved in the investigation.

The arrest is part of Chief Moore’s Operation Safe Streets Initiative.

All charges are allegations, and Fleming is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
