Residents of Houma, Louisiana are invited to participate in a special event on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, to support Special Olympics Louisiana. The event, titled ‘Bagging with Badges,’ will take place from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Rouses Markets located at 2233 Martin Luther King Blvd.
Members of the Houma Police Department and the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office will be on hand to assist shoppers by bagging groceries. This initiative aims to raise funds for local athletes participating in Special Olympics Louisiana. Shoppers are encouraged to make a donation during their grocery runs to help support the athletes in their community.
