Chandra Alice Donati, a native and longtime resident of Morgan City, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at the age of 70.Chandra was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who adored spending time with her loved ones. When not showering them with affection, she enjoyed crafting, shopping at Walmart (specifically for purses, slippers and craft materials), and good food prepared by her family for gatherings.
Chandra adored any moment spent with her loved ones, especially trips outdoors camping. She was a known coffee enthusiast and was proud of her ability to grow anything with her green thumb. She was also a proud member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 4222.
Those left to cherish Chandra’s beautiful memory are her children, Wendy Champagne Price and her husband, Glynn, Steve Allen Champagne and his wife, Lisa, Tracy Paul Champagne and his wife, Alaina, and Tommy Daniel Donati II and his spouse, Jennifer; two brothers, Wilton Joseph Aucoin Jr. and Bret James Aucoin; two sisters, Rhonda Aucoin Mello and Cathy Aucoin Schultz; 21 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Donati; her parents Wilton Joseph Aucoin Sr. and Mary Giroir Aucoin; two brothers, Randy and Barry Aucoin.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 6pm to 9pm at Hargrave Funeral Home with visitation resuming on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 8am until time of services. Funeral Services for Chandra will begin on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 12noon at Hargrave Funeral Home with Chandra being laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery following services.
