St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 21 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Rodney Nixon Bowie Jr., 45, Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 24, 2023, at 3:02 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family and battery of a dating partner. Bail has not been set at this time.
Gilbert R. Lacombe, 54, Patterson, LA, was arrested on August 23, 2023, at 9:29 pm for sexual battery-rubbing touching and indecent behavior with juveniles. Bail has not been set at this time.
All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
