Jeremy J. Breaux, 38, of 118 Tyler Lane, Belle Rose, Louisiana, and Terrance White, 42, of 175 Belle Point Lane, Napoleonville, Louisiana, were arrested on multiple felony charges following a traffic stop north of Napoleonville on Tuesday night.
A deputy on uniformed patrol observed a vehicle commit a traffic infraction and initiated a stop of that vehicle. The deputy conducted officer/violator interviews with the driver, now identified as Jeremy J. Breaux, and one passenger, identified as Terrance White.
The deputy detected a potent marijuana odor emanating from the vehicle. During the interview, Breaux and White provided contradictory responses to the deputies’ questions. Deputies determined that additional investigation was necessary.
The suspect vehicle was subjected to an open-air sniff by a K-9, which indicated the presence of controlled dangerous substances. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the seizure of a handgun with a large caliber, various drug paraphernalia, MDMA (Ecstasy), Percocet, and U.S. currency.
Deputies and narcotics officers obtained a search warrant for the residence of Terrance White, located at 175 Belle Point Lane north of Napoleonville, after establishing probable cause.
Jeremy J. Breaux was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on the following charges as a result of the traffic stop:
- Availability of Percocet
- Interference with the Driver’s Field of View or Driving Mechanism
- Improper Equipment
- Possession of drug equipment
Wednesday, Jeremy J. Breaux posted a $11,500 bond and was released from custody.
Terrance White was arrested following the traffic stop and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on the following charges:
- Contraband Weapon Possession in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
- Possession of drug equipment
- Availability of MDMA (Ecstasy)
- Availability of Percocet
During the execution of the search warrant at 175 Belle Point Lane, north of Napoleonville, two high-powered assault rifles and quantities of drug paraphernalia, marijuana, MDMA (Ecstasy), and methamphetamine were seized.
Terrance White was additionally charged with the following based on evidence seized during the execution of a search warrant at 175 Belle Point Lane:
- Possession of Methamphetamine with Distribution Intent is a crime.
- Possession of Marijuana with Distribution Intent
- Possession with Intent to Distribute MDMA (Ecstasy)
- Possession of drug equipment
- Contraband Weapon Possession in the Presence of Controlled Dangerous Substances
The bond for Terrance White remains at one million, seventy-five thousand dollars ($1,075,000).
