Three Arrested for Attempted Murder in Amelia

An altercation in Amelia, led to the arrest of three men for attempted second-degree murder. The incident occurred on October 11, 2024, when a St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office (SMPSO) detective responded to a report of a fight involving multiple individuals, at least one armed with a gun and another with a knife.

Upon arrival, the detective learned that Miguel Chub-Sub, 35, Rolando Chub-Sub, 23, and German Chub-Sub, 32, all of Amelia, had allegedly attacked a male victim. The victim was transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment of stab wounds sustained during the assault.

Miguel, Rolando, and German Chub-Sub were taken into custody and arrested on October 12, 2024, at 2:33 am. They were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and booked on charges of attempted second-degree murder. As of press time, no bail had been set for the brothers.

The SMPSO continues to investigate the incident.
