Sheriff Tim Soignet is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two people believed to be responsible for intentionally setting fire to an abandoned residence in the 100 block of Marie Drive.
Sheriff Soignet advised that the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the address on July 18th, shortly after 8:00pm, after neighbors reported seeing smoke coming from the home. When deputies arrived, smoke could be seen coming from the roof and siding of the home, and the Bayou Cane Fire Department quickly responded and put out the fire.

Detectives were able to develop video evidence from the neighborhood which captures two people believed to be linked to the incident, walking near the residence.
Detectives continue to actively investigate the incident and are now asking the public for help in identifying the people responsible.
