St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 26 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Rodrick Anthony Hunter, 32, Berwick, LA, was arrested on September 19, 2023, at 12:20 pm for possession of a legend drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on five warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:
- Possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute
- Possession of MDMA with intent to distribute
- Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
- Monetary instrument abuse
- Possession/distribution/sale of legend drug without prescription
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Illegal use/consumption/possession/distribution of CDS in the presence of persons under 17
- Possession of schedule II CDS (methamphetamine)
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of methamphetamine
Hunter also held an active warrant for the following charges:
- Escape-simple & aggravated
- Driver must be licensed
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of methamphetamine
- Resisting an officer
- Theft sale/distribution/possession of a legend drug without prescription
