St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 37 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Marcus Shawn Robertson, 40, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on October 3, 2023, at 12:56 pm on two warrants for failure to appear for the following charges:
- Possession of cocaine
- Simple battery
- Unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
- Possession of schedule II CDS (meth)
Bail was set at $29,100.
Hector Ruiz-Santos, 42, Patterson, LA, was arrested on October 3, 2023, at 7:28 pm for operating a vehicle while licenses is under suspension.
On October 1, 2023, Hector Ruiz-Santos was arrested for DWI by a SMPSO K9 Deputy. Ruiz-Santos was advised that his license was suspended and he was not allowed to drive.
On October 3, 2023, the K9 Deputy observed Ruiz-Santos driving a vehicle headed southbound on Zenor Road. The K9 Deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with Ruiz-Santos and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.
Ruiz-Santos was released on a $1,000 bond.
Matthew Ryan Senette, 39, Centerville, LA, was arrested on October 3, 2023, at 11:50 pm for violation of protective orders and criminal damage to property-aggravated. Bail has not been set at this time.
All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
