Margaret Taylor, age 76, a woman known for her kindness and generosity, passed away surrounded by her family in her home on Monday, October 2, 2023, in Franklin.
A gathering of friends and family will be held in her honor from 10:00AM until 1:00PM on October 4, 2023 at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin, with the Holy Rosary to be prayed at 09:30 AM. Fr. Michael DeBlanc will officiate the service at 1:00 PM.
Margaret’s vibrant spirit and infectious sense of humor endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her magnetic personality drew people in, making her a cherished friend and confidante to many. Margaret found immense joy in connecting with loved ones on her beloved Facebook account, often earning the title of their biggest fan. She had a knack for spreading positivity and warmth through her virtual interactions.
In her leisure time, Margaret could be found indulging in her favorite pastimes. She had a passion for cards, bingo, and the peacefulness of fishing. These activities allowed her to forge unforgettable memories with family and friends, creating bonds that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.
Margaret’s culinary skills were hard not to notice. She poured love and care into every meal she prepared, delighting her grandkids, family, and friends with delicious feasts. Her kitchen was a hub of laughter, stories, and shared moments, leaving a mark on those who gathered there.
Margaret is survived by her loving children; Mary “Cathy” Clements, Tina Thibodeaux and her wife Ekira, JP Taylor and his wife Crystal; her seven grand-children, Maranda Verdin and her husband Chris, Tonya Clements, Tyler Dantin, Thane Taylor, Ethan Taylor, Jairyn Fine and Jayden Tronstad; her twelve great grandchildren, Sadie, Seth, Julian, Antonio, Kayden, Bailey, Mathew, Isaiah, Myah, Delilah, Joziah and Janyla; two siblings, Murphy “T-Boy” Crochet and Betty “Bags” Gaspard; her second son, Donald “Duck” Gaspard; as well as a host of extended family and friends whom she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 31 years, Leonard Taylor Jr.; her parents, Murphy Crochet and Audrey Crochet; three brothers, Charles Crochet, Donald James Crochet, Lionel Crochet; her son-in-law, Shawn Clements; two great-grandchildren, Temperance Finister and John Finister V.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert’s Mortuary of Franklin, LA.
