Luke Joseph Piranio, age 88, passed away on Sunday, October 27,2024. He was a native of Franklin, LA and a long-time resident of Metairie, LA.
Funeral Services for Luke will be held Friday, November 1, 2024, at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM and continue until 2:00 PM at which time the service will begin. Graveside services will follow after in St.Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Patterson, LA. Deacon Jerry Bourg will officiate the service.
Luke graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He devoted his career to the DuPont Pontchartrain Works company in LaPlace, Louisiana where he worked for over 30 years. He was proud of his Italian heritage, and of his family.
He is survived by his loving children; Lisa Piranio, Donavan Piranio, Lisa Manna (Vincent), Laura Withmeyer (Darren), Mark Piranio (Sarah); his grandchildren, Alex Kalmbach, Nicholas Kalmbach, Sarah Rogers, John Withmeyer, Luke Piranio, and Ava Piranio; his sister, Barbara Denton (Tom); as well as a host of extended family and friends whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Meadows Piranio; two sisters, Rosie Roland and Patricia Adams; his parents, Joseph John Piranio and Grace Musemeche Piranio.
