John W Morris, 63, of Patterson, Louisiana, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on November 4, 2021. He was born February 23, 1958, to Brent Morris and Betty Jo Steele in Lufkin, Texas. When he wasn’t spending time with Lynette, the love of his life, he spent time with his loving daughters and grandchildren. He was passionate about refurbishing and remodeling vehicles. Especially his 1923 C Cab “The Louisiana Swamp Buggy.”
John was preceded in death by his mother and father, Betty Jo and Brent Morris; and his sister, Jean Elaine Morris.
He is survived by his wife, Lynette Vinning Morris of Patterson; his sister, Lillian Reichert of Heber Springs, AR, and his sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Kenneth Savoie of Patterson. John is also survived by his daughters and their spouses, Candice Gard of Kokomo, IN, Dawn and Kenneth Stanzione of Patterson, Danielle Morris and Anh Tran of Morgan City, and Autumn and Keaton King of Beebe, AR; seven grandchildren, Kinzie and Grant Minniear, Logan and Remy Stanzione, Liam and Isabella Tran, and Violet Scroggins; as well as by a substantial number of family and friends.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 518 Jake Street, Patterson, LA 70392, from 12:00 noon until. In his honor, The Morris family requests that you donate to Brittany’s Project or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
