Houma Tunnel Scheduled Maintenance Leads to Temporary Closure on October 24

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has announced a temporary closure of the Houma Tunnel for maintenance purposes. The closure is scheduled for Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 9 AM to 2 PM. During this time, DOTD crews will be conducting necessary roadway maintenance within the tunnel.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during the closure period, which include the LA 24/LA 659 Twin Span Bridge or the LA 315 Dularge Bridge.
