Assumption Arrest Report 7-13-2022

BAYOU L’OURSE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Franklin Kendall Jarvis Verret, 26, of 319 Naquin Street, Houma, LA, on charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 398 on Tuesday evening.

A detective unit observed a vehicle commit multiple traffic violations and initiated a stop of that vehicle assisted by the uniformed patrol division.

The deputies made contact with the driver, now identified as Franklin Kendall Jarvis Verret. The deputies noted an odor of suspected marijuana emitting from the vehicle.

The driver consented to a search of the vehicle and during that process, a quantity of suspected marijuana was seized.

During a criminal records check, it was determined that Verret was wanted on a fugitive warrant from Lafourche Parish and was driving under a suspended license.

Franklin Kendall Jarvis Verret was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Possession of Marijuana – 2nd Offense
*Driving Under a Suspended Driver’s License
*Speeding
*Expired Motor Vehicle Inspection Tag
*No Seat Belt
*Fugitive Warrant – Lafourche Parish

Franklin Kendall Jarvis Verret remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.


NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Bradrick Anthony Gilton, 37, of 288 Cottage Way, Thibodaux, LA, on felony gun law violations arising from an incident that occurred on May 30, 2022 in Labadieville.

On the aforementioned date, an incident occurred in Labadieville at which time a firearm was discharged during a confrontation.

Detectives and uniformed patrol deputies were able to identify the suspect as Bradrick Anthony Gilton.

A warrant was secured for Bradrick Anthony Gilton’s arrest. Gilton turned himself in at the Assumption Parish Detention Facility on Wednesday morning.

Bradrick Anthony Gilton was booked on a charge of:

*Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities

Bradrick Anthony Gilton remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
