THIBODAUX, La. — A former business manager has been arrested following an investigation into the alleged theft of more than $250,000 from a Thibodaux business.

According to Thibodaux Police Chief Bryan Zeringue, the investigation began after representatives of Caillouet Land discovered financial irregularities while reviewing company records following the termination of former business manager Christina Long, 54, at the end of 2025. The findings were reported to the Thibodaux Police Department for further investigation.

Detectives conducted an extensive review of financial records and supporting documentation. Investigators allege that between 2022 and 2025, Long misappropriated $252,956.36 in company funds through a series of unauthorized financial transactions while serving as the company’s business manager.

At the conclusion of the investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Long with Theft by Embezzlement. The warrant carried a $50,000 bond.

Long later surrendered to the Thibodaux Police Department without incident. She was transported to the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex, where she was booked on the outstanding warrant. She was later released on a personal recognizance (PR) bond.
The investigation remains part of the Thibodaux Police Department’s ongoing efforts to investigate allegations of financial crimes and hold those responsible accountable.
