NEW IBERIA, La. — A former New Iberia band director has been arrested and charged following an investigation by the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office involving alleged offenses against a juvenile.
According to authorities, Andrew Belk was taken into custody after detectives investigated allegations of inappropriate communications and conduct involving a minor. The investigation led to multiple felony charges being filed against Belk.
Officials say the case remains active, and investigators continue to review evidence. Authorities have indicated that additional information could be released as the investigation progresses.
The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office is encouraging anyone who may have information related to the case to contact investigators.
