Ethan Channing Breaux, 19, of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, was arrested on December 17, 2025, at approximately 2:17 p.m. on a warrant charging him with Third-Degree Rape and Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile.
On November 6, 2025, a detective with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office became aware of an incident involving a juvenile and initiated an investigation. Over the course of the following days, the detective gathered evidence and information sufficient to apply for an arrest warrant related to the incident.
The warrant was obtained, and with the assistance of the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, Breaux was located and arrested. He was subsequently transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. At this time, bond has not been set.
Sheriff Gary Driskell and the Criminal Investigations Division of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office thanked the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office and the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in this investigation.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
