UPDATE: Baldwin Police Chief Anthony Gibson said one shooting victim was transported to a hospital and is currently in good condition. He said that they have identified a suspect, but declined to release the suspect’s identity until an arrest has been made. Main Street in Baldwin has reopened to traffic. We will continue to update the story as more information becomes available.

Multiple law enforcement agencies and the Baldwin Volunteer Fire Department are currently on scene of a shooting at the Gulf One Stop, located at 501 Main Street in Baldwin. Preliminary reports indicate that one victim was transported to a hospital with injuries. We are attempting to obtain additional information at this time, including if a suspect has been taken into custody.
At this time, Main Street near the scene in Baldwin is currently closed while investigators work the scene. Please use an alternate route and avoid the area. We will update the story once more information becomes available.
