Residents in a designated section of Morgan City are advised of a planned power outage set for Friday, October 24, beginning at 4:00 p.m. The temporary outage is expected to last for approximately two hours.
According to officials, the planned shutdown is necessary to allow crews to safely relocate transmission lines in the area. The work will enable the St. Mary Levee District to carry out maintenance and improvements on the pump station located behind Cypress Gardens.
Utility officials are encouraging residents to make any necessary preparations ahead of the outage and appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation as the work is completed. The project aims to enhance the reliability and safety of local infrastructure.
