High-Speed Chase Leads to Major Drug Bust in Morgan City

Morgan City Police Department recently joined forces with federal partners to arrest Cesar Lozano-Flores. The arrest was part of a federal investigation.

​The incident began when agents tried to pull over Lozano-Flores on Highway 182. He refused to stop, leading officers on a high-speed chase through the city. During the pursuit, he was seen throwing bags of suspected cocaine from his vehicle.

​The chase ended with his capture on Highway 182 near Ditch Avenue. Officers recovered the suspected cocaine and later executed a search warrant at his home. The search yielded additional cocaine and a large amount of cash believed to be from drug sales. Lozano-Flores has been taken into custody and is awaiting his day in court.
