Morgan City Police Department recently joined forces with federal partners to arrest Cesar Lozano-Flores. The arrest was part of a federal investigation.
The incident began when agents tried to pull over Lozano-Flores on Highway 182. He refused to stop, leading officers on a high-speed chase through the city. During the pursuit, he was seen throwing bags of suspected cocaine from his vehicle.
The chase ended with his capture on Highway 182 near Ditch Avenue. Officers recovered the suspected cocaine and later executed a search warrant at his home. The search yielded additional cocaine and a large amount of cash believed to be from drug sales. Lozano-Flores has been taken into custody and is awaiting his day in court.
