It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected and accidental death of Braxton Joseph Landry, age 6, who passed away on June 26, 2025.
Though Bubba, as he was affectionately known, may not have left so much of a mark in this world, he definitely left a lifetime of footprints in the lives of all those around him during his all too brief walk on this earth. Born in Franklin on March 25, 2019, Bubba was truly all boy from birth. From sunrise to sundown he was 90 to nothing as they say. He was his parent’s Lil’ Man who loved insects and especially loved torturing his sisters with them, getting dirty riding his dirt bike, who wasn’t afraid of anything, and ate anything that was put on his plate. Though he was a typical rambunctious six year old boy, Bubba was also a sweetheart who had a beautiful innocence and looked at the world through big bright eyes of amazement. He loved picking wild flowers to bring to his mother, was an animal lover through and through, even to snakes or anything else that roamed in the yard, and he especially took great pride in making sure the chickens were fed and tended to. He was truly one of a kind, a bright light in the lives of so many, a rare jewel waiting to be discovered, and this world is definitely less bright of a place without his physical presence in it.
Those he leaves to cherish his sweet memory include his parents, Chantelle Uzé Landry and Damian Joseph Landry; his siblings, Charity, Donavan, Destiny, Landon, and Zor’a “T-Niki” Landry; maternal grandparents, Jerry Uzé and Hope Broussard Uzé; paternal grandfather, Tony Breaux; paternal grandfather, Harry Lange; maternal great grandmother, Emma Del Luke Broussard; aunts and uncles, Antoinette Uzé Hale and William “Billy” Hale III (who are also his god-parents), Clay Landry and Lauren Landry, Blaine Uzé, Dawn Breaux, Jerry Steven Meyers, Kirsten Breaux Beary, and Lexie Breaux. Braxton is also survived by a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandfather, Alton Lawrence Broussard Sr.; maternal great grandparents, Zephrine Uzé and Ida Miguez Uzé; his aunt, Monique Niki Meyers; and his uncle, Tony Breaux Jr.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin beginning at 9:00 AM until time of services at 2:00 PM. Following the services Braxton will be laid to rest in the Perpetual Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Father Joel Faulk will conduct the services. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Damian Landry, William Hale III, Donavan Landry, Clay Landry, Cole Broussard, and Ukiah Ackerman.
