Bella Faye Doiron Breland, 81, a life-long resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully, Friday, October 27, 2023, at Legacy Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.
Bella was born January 24, 1942, in Morgan City, the daughter of Verney and Elsie Doiron.
Bella’s greatest love was her yard; she was so proud of her yard and flowers. Bella was always cutting her grass while listening to Swamp Pop music. She also enjoyed going to Pats in Henderson to listen to Foret Tradition.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her three children, Tony M. Mendoza, Keely M. Mendoza, James A. Mendoza and partner Priscilla Comeaux; three grandchildren, Izabella F. Mendoza, Bryson J. Daniel, and James M. Mendoza; one great-grandchild, Brooklyn A. Mendoza; one sister, Renetta Godfrey; sister-in-law, Sherryl Doiron; numerous nieces and nephews.
Bella was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Brent J. Doiron; great nephew, Brent J. Doiron III; and her fur-baby, Coco Chanel.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Legacy Nursing Home in Morgan City for all their great love and care over Bella during her time there.
Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Brett Lapeyrouse officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Bella will be interred in Morgan City Cemetery Mausoleum at a later date.
