The Bayou Vista Community Center in St. Mary Parish has become a hub of excitement and fun for local residents. With various activities such as card games, board games, and court games, there is something for everyone, regardless of age. The center aims to encourage people to stay active, healthy, and engaged with their community.
In addition to the community center’s offerings, nearby attractions like Central Park, Noah’s Adventures, the Swamp Skate Park, and Central Park pavilion are providing more opportunities for families to come together and enjoy themselves this month. Noah’s Adventures is offering specials on putt-putt golf, while the skate park caters to participants of all ages.
The Agin’ Cajuns Games program at the community center welcomes adults aged 30 years and above to participate in activities such as pickleball, cornhole, and Uno. Instructors are available to teach those interested in learning these games at no cost.
These events not only provide opportunities for exercise and enjoyment but also offer a social outlet for senior citizens and others who may feel isolated due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The center invites everyone to come together and make new friendships while enjoying themselves through these activities.
Bayou Vista Community Center is also planning to introduce exercise equipment like treadmills and stationary bikes in the near future. Those who prefer more relaxed pursuits can engage in board games or simply enjoy conversation with others in a laid-back environment.
The Agin’ Cajuns Games take place on a flexible schedule with sessions on Mondays from 11 am until 8 pm, Wednesdays from 11 am until 3:30 pm, and Thursdays from 9 am until 3:30 pm. For more information or inquiries about joining these activities, please contact Kelly Williams at 985-518-7397. The Bayou Vista Community Center and its events are free of charge, ensuring fun and camaraderie for all who participate.
