Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Stanley Oneil Verrett, 42, of 614 Barbier Avenue, Thibodaux, LA, on multiple felony drug charges arising from a traffic stop on LA 1 near Labadieville, Monday afternoon.
A uniformed patrol deputy observed a vehicle with an equipment violation and executed a stop of that vehicle. The deputy made contact with the driver, now identified as Stanley Oneil Verrett and engaged Verrett in an officer / violator interview. The deputy conducted a warrants check on Verrett and determined that he was wanted in Assumption Parish on multiple charges.
Stanley Oneil Verrett was arrested. During a protective pat down search of Verrett, quantities of MDMA (Ecstasy), cocaine and crack cocaine were seized.
Stanley Oneil Verrett was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine
*Possession with Intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine
*Possession with Intent to Distribute MDMA (Ecstasy)
*Illegal Window Tint
*Warrant – Battery of a Dating Partner
*Warrant – Theft of a Firearm
Stanley Oneil Verrett remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
