Suspect Wanted for Armed Robbery in New Iberia

On April 28, 2025, patrol deputies and detectives with the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery complaint at the business located at the 1500 block of Weeks Island Road in Iberia Parish, Louisiana. A male suspect entered the store at approximately 3am, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect fled with the money and items from the store in less than one minute.

In cooperation with New Iberia Police Department, patrol deputies and detectives were able to identify the suspect as Bradley James Lewis, JR. Lewis is reported to be “homeless” and does not have a local address but is believed to be residing somewhere in New Iberia.

Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Bradley Lewis JR. for the charge of LA RS 14:64 ARMED ROBBERY.

Lewis should be considered armed and dangerous; if anyone knows the whereabouts of Lewis do not approach and contact your local law enforcement agency.
