News Release: July 5, 2022
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 264-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 180 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Loreal Miller, 34, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on June 30, 2022, at 7:56 pm for failure to appear. Bail has not been set.
Jennifer Waleska, 27, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on July 1, 2022, at 7:34 am for the charge of unlawful possession of a fraudulent document. Waleska was later released on bond.
Jerret Cortez, 33, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on July 1, 2022, for failure to appear. Cortez was transported from Assumption Parish Jail and booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bond has been set.
Jesse Webb Jr., 35, Patterson, LA, was arrested on July 1, 2022, for failure to appear. Webb was later released.
Joaquima Brown, 27, Franklin, LA, was arrested on July 2, 2022, at 4:02 pm for the following charges:
· Violation of protective order
· Following to close
· Stop sign violation
· No driver’s license
· Resisting an officer by flight.
While conducting an investigation, deputies observed Brown drive his vehicle in a reckless manner. Bail has not been set.
Jairo J. Perez, 25, Amelia, LA, was arrested on July 3, 2022, at 12:22 am for the charge of second-degree battery. No bail set at this time.
Jeremiah T. Singleton, 20, Amelia, LA, was arrested on July 3, 2022 at 4:29 pm for the charge of violation of a protection order. Deputies patrolling the area observed Singleton and recognized he held an active warrant. Singleton has since been released.
Tonia T. Rumfola, 48, Denham Springs, LA, was arrested on July 4, 2022, at 5:12 pm for disturbing the peace intoxicated. Rumfola has since been released.
All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
