The St. Mary Parish has released responses to a questionnaire from the candidates who are in two runoffs for St. Mary Parish Council. The questionnaire was sent to all candidates who ran in the October 14th primary, however the Chamber elected to release the responses again for the four candidates who made the November 18th runoff.
Running for St. Mary Parish Council District 3 are incumbent Rodney Olander and former parish councilman Peter Soprano. District 3 includes portions of Centerville, Franklin and Charenton. In District 8, which is comprised of portions of Morgan City and Amelia, incumbent Mark Duhon is being challenged by Carlo Gagliano Jr. You may view their responses by clicking here.
If you are planning to be out of town for early voting and election day, the deadline to request a mail ballot from the St. Mary Parish Registrar of Voters is November 14 and should be received by 4:30 pm on November 17.

Early voting starts Friday, November 3 and runs through November 11, with the exception of except Sunday, November 5 and Veterans Day, November 10. Early voting hours are 8:30 am – 6:00 pm. You may early vote at the Registrar of Voters Office on the 3rd floor of the St. Mary Parish Courthouse or at the annex office, which is located at 301 Third Street Morgan City
