St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 90 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Devonte Lorenzo Charles, 29, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on September 9, 2022, at 10:56 am for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and driving left of center. Charles was released on an $8,000 bond.
Valarie Amburgey, 39, Bayou L’ourse, LA, was arrested on September 9, 2022, at 8:55 pm for domestic abuse battery, criminal damage to property, and disturbing the peace-intoxicated. Bail has not been set at this time.
Kenneth Honaey, 26, Amelia, LA, was arrested on September 10, 2022, at 3:02 am for criminal damage to property-simple and resisting arrest or officer. Honaey was released on a $3,000 bond.
Travis Theopolis Sophus, 37, Franklin, LA, was arrested on September 11, 2022, at 8:13 pm for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of protective orders. Sophus was released on a $6,000 bond.
All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
