On December 25th, 2021 at approximately 1221 hours, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s deputies and detectives responded to the area of 244 Bon Jovi, Gray LA in reference to a shooting.
Several witnesses advised responding officers that multiple gunshots were exchanged at a Christmas gathering there. It was learned that Tyrik Jenkins (B/M 10-22-01) had shot a twenty year old subject during a confrontation there.
The victim was treated at a local hospital for the injuries sustained from the gunshots and was transferred to an out of area medical facility for further treatment.
The victim is in stable condition at this time. An arrest warrant for Tyrik Jenkins was obtained for Attempted Second Degree Murder through the 32nd Judicial District Court for the incident.
Tyrik Jenkins also has other outstanding warrants for a home invasion in Terrebonne Parish from another incident this month.
