Rogers Ivy Liner, 80, of Morgan City, Louisiana, passed away on May 7, 2024. He was born on April 13, 1944, in Berwick, Louisiana,

Rogers proudly served in the LOUISIANA NATIONAL GUARD. He dedicated his career as a Department head for the City of Morgan City for 28 years. After his retirement he served as an Aid on his wife Brenda’s special needs bus for St. Mary Parish School Board.

He was a graduate of Morgan City High School. Rogers enjoyed a weekly card game with friends, playing on his computer, and his morning coffee with his nephew Murray Hebert and best friend Drue Clements.

Rogers will be deeply missed and is survived by his son Teddy Liner (Brenda) and son Kelly Liner, Murray and Vicki Hebert who were like his brother and sister, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his wife, Brenda Liner, daughter Kimberly Liner, his parents Alvin and Melvina Liner and two brothers, Louis and Morris Liner.

A service to honor Rogers Liner will be held at Pharr Chapel Methodist Church in Morgan City, Louisiana, on Friday, May 17, 2024. Visitation will be from 12pm – 2pm, with services at 2:00pm. In ln lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Pharr Chapel Methodist Youth Program.

Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City, Louisiana, is assisting with the arrangements.
