Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon announced the arrest of Amarion M. D. Keyes, 21, of Labadieville, on charges related to the burglary of an inhabited residence in Napoleonville.

On June 22, 2024, deputies responded to a call on French Lane, where the homeowner reported that money was missing from his residence. After reviewing electronic surveillance footage, authorities identified Keyes as the suspect who had made unauthorized entry into the home.

An investigation led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for Keyes. The following day, deputies located Keyes on Alvin Street in Napoleonville. When approached, Keyes attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended.

Keyes has been booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and criminal trespass. He remains in custody awaiting a bond hearing.
