July 15, 1985 – December 5, 2022

Michael Robert Adams, a longtime resident of Jasper, TX, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at the age of 37, on Monday, December 5, 2022.

Michael was born in Morgan City on July 15, 1985. Raised in Patterson, Michael was the only child of Dr. Robert Adams and Donna Adams. He was a graduate of Patterson High School and attended college at Nicholls State University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.  Michael never knew a stranger.  He was always eager to ask questions and learn new things.  He was a young man with an old soul.  An avid outdoorsman, he cherished the time he had being in the woods or on the water.  Michael was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed tinkering on small engines or giving advice as to what “that sound” was.  One of his most prized accomplishments was joining the law enforcement department in Texas where he worked for various law enforcement agencies.  Currently, he was serving as Sergeant for the Newton County Constable’s Office.

Those he leaves to cherish his memory include his father and step-mother, Dr. Robert Adams III and Karla Peterson Adams; his aunts, Pauline C. Hebert and Frances C. Pinho; his uncles, Jerry Adams and his wife Debbie, Joey Adams, and Billy Weldy and his wife Gayle,  as well as numerous cousins, extended family, dear friends and co-workers.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Clinton Adams; his maternal grandparents, Ervin Ray Clinton and Frances Arnold Clinton; his paternal grandparents, Robert A. Adams Jr. and Clara Marie Rizzo Adams; his uncles, Rodney Hebert and Greg Pinho; and his aunt, Linda Rentrop Adams.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 12, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson during an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Following the Mass, Michael will be laid to rest in St. Joseph Cemetery. Monsignor Richard Greene will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson from 9:00 AM until time of dismissal from the funeral home at 10:30 AM.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to his aunt, Pauline Hebert, and his late uncle, Rodney Hebert, for being such an amazing part of his life in Jasper, TX.
