Funeral services for Linda LaBiche Darce will be held Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baldwin during a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, with Father Christopher Cambre officiating. Following the Mass, she will be laid to rest in the Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum. Serving as pallbearers will be Chip Landry, Bubba Landry, Corey Mata, Nicholas Savoy, Rufus Navy, and Jermaine Alfred. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 11:00 a.m.
Linda was a native of Iberia Parish born on September 19, 1945 and one of three children born to Lionel LaBiche and the former Lena Lopez. She passed from this life to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at the age of 75 at her home in Baldwin surrounded in love by her family.
Her greatest accomplishment in life was her family, marrying the love of her life, raising three beautiful daughters, and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Some of her favorite pastimes included RVing with her husband, arts and crafts, and decorating her house for holidays. She also enjoyed trips to the casino and playing Bingo and Pokeno. Linda was also a member and past Queen of the Golden Age Club.
Those she leaves to cherish her memory include her three daughters, Chantelle Darce Landry and her husband Chip, Monique Darce and her companion Clint Evans, and Malena Darce Garrett and her companion Terrance Washington; seven grandchildren, Nina Savoy and her companion Justin, Brooklynne Landry and her fiancé Corey Mata, Amber Burgess and her companion Jermaine Alfred, Charles “Bubba” Landry Jr. and his wife Morgan, Nicholas Savoy, Bricelon Martin, and Nickki Savoy; eight great grandchildren, Kinsley Mata, Billy James Yager, Jayda Savoy, Jovie Savoy, Annabella Pearl Hurt, Jermaine Alfred Jr., Jeziah Alfred, and Anarii Alfred; her sister, Sally Robicheaux and her husband Jimmy; brother-in-law, Harry Darce and his wife Geraldine; sister-in-law, Sherry Darce; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas P. “Tommy” Darce; her grandson, Brent D. Martin; her parents, Lionel LaBiche and Lena Lopez LaBiche Boudreaux; her brother, Harold LaBiche; her in-laws, Richard Darce and Mabel Boudreaux Darce; and her brother-in-law, Richard “Dickie” Darce.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staffs of Franklin Home Care and Journey Hospice for the loving care given to their mother.
