The Franklin Police Department responded to 16 complaints over the past weekend and made the following arrests:
Tyephia Thomas, 26, of Eucharist Rd., Lafayette, LA, was arrested on June 12, 2024, at 6:00 AM, on the charge of resisting an officer with force. Thomas was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Joaquin Moya-Toledo, 29, of Barbara Jordan Blvd., Austin, TX, was arrested on June 14, 2024, at 6:23 AM, on the charges of careless operation, driver must be licensed, and speeding. Moya-Toledo was booked, processed, and released on a $1,051.00 bond.
Kamryn Kinchen, 17, of Canal Dr., Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 15, 2024, at 2:55 AM, on the charge of illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile. Kinchen was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Yolanda Baker, 49, of Twelfth St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 17, 2024, at 2:35 AM, on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Baker was additionally arrested on the charges of battery of a police officer and possession of drug paraphernalia. Baker was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Irving Lumpkin, 41, of Maple St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 17, 2024, at 5:48 AM, on the charge of battery of a dating partner. Lumpkin was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
