Elmer Singleton, Jr., a resident and native of Amelia, LA, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 28, 2022 at 7:43 PM at Ochsner St. Mary.
Visitation will be observed on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Pilgrim Grove Baptist Church in Morgan City, LA from 11:00 AM until funeral services at 1:00 P.M. Military Honors will be conducted at the beginning of funeral services. Burial will follow funeral services in the Union Bethel Cemetery in Amelia, LA.
Memoires of Elmer, Jr., will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, Bessie Skinner Singleton; three sons, Scott Singleton, Jeremy Singleton, and Elmer Singleton, III all of Amelia, LA; siblings, Frank Singleton, Jr., Bessie (Edward) Thomas and Elouise Thomas all of Amelia, LA and Gertie (Joseph) Ross of Patterson, LA: ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Elmer Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Singlton, Jr. and Virginia Short Singleton and his mother-in-law, Orelia Skinner.
