Cursey John Gordon, Sr. age 93, of Patterson, LA passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Cursey was born on October 12, 1929 in Arnaudville, LA to the late Josephine Lewis Gordon and Roosevelt John Gordon, Sr.
Family and friends of Cursey are invited to attend the Visitation on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Jones Funeral Home-Morgan City from 9:00am to 10:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at ST. JOSEPH CATHOLIC CHURCH beginning at 11am. He will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery Mausoleum.
Cursey leaves behind to forever cherish his memories, his loving wife of 66 years Dorothy Boutte Gordon; 5 children, Peggy Boutte and her husband Randy, Corinna Smith and her husband James, Cursey Gordon, Jr., Polly Smith and her husband Kenny and Phillip Gordon and his wife Terri. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Gabrielle Trahan, Marisa Munley, Briana Gordon, Kiefer Smith, Tia Gordon, Gabriel Gordon; 5 great grandchildren, Haylie Munley, Olivia Trahan, Oliver Trahan, Jr., Kian Halloway and Luke Munley; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, James Gordon and Roosevelt Gordon, Jr.; 2 sisters, Patricia Nelson and Dorothy Gordon.
