Bayou Blue Shooting Leaves One Injured; Sheriff Seeks Tips

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced that detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred in Bayou Blue over the weekend, leaving one person injured.

On Sunday, June 23, 2024, at approximately 2 a.m., deputies responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Palmisano Drive in Bayou Blue. Upon arrival, they learned that a woman in her 30s had been shot in the leg. Fortunately, her injuries were not life-threatening.

Through their investigation, deputies have identified the suspected shooter as a white male with tattoos on his chest, neck, and arms. He is believed to be a resident of Bayou Blue.

The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information about this incident to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously to Bayou Region Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-743-7433, visiting CrimeStoppersBR.org, or using the Bayou Tips app on mobile devices. Tipsters could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 if their information leads to an arrest.
