Franklin Arrest Report 12-2-2024

The Franklin Police Department responded to 58 calls for service over the past holiday weekend and made the following arrests:

Joshua Cooks, 32, of Railroad Ave., Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 27, 2024, at 8:02 PM, on the charge of simple criminal damage to property. Cooks was booked, processed, and released on a $1,000.00 bond.

Kylan Peters, 22, of Ninth St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 28, 2024, at 10:58 PM, on the charges of resisting an officer and criminal trespassing. Peters was booked, processed, and released on a $3,000.00 bond.

Trevor Thomas, 20, of Josephine St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 28, 2024, at 10:58 PM, on the charges of resisting an officer and criminal trespassing. Thomas was booked, processed, and released on a $3,000.00 bond.

Jonah Madison, 30, of Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 29, 2024, at 1:10 PM, on the charges of resisting an officer with force – 3 counts, battery of a police officer – 3 counts, criminal damage to property – 2 counts, and simple assault. Madison, while incarcerated at the Franklin Police Department, was additionally charged on November 30, 2024, at 11:46 AM, for simple criminal damage to property – 2 counts, resisting an officer with force, and simple escape. Madison was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

Juvenile was arrested on November 29, 2024, at 8:41 PM, on the charge of simple burglary.

Laurie Waguespack, 46, of Charpentier Ln., Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 1, 2024, at 12:32 PM, on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. Waguespack was booked, processed, and released on a $1,000.00 bond.

Michael Lumpkin, 35, of James St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 1, 2024, at 3:21 AM, on the charges of domestic abuse battery with child endangerment, domestic abuse battery by strangulation, aggravated battery, and violation of protective order. Lumpkin was booked, processed, and held on a $60,000.00 bond.
