The Franklin Police Department responded to 20 complaints over the past weekend and made the following arrests:
Roderic Clay, 50, of Bayou Black Dr., Gibson, LA, was arrested on August 16, 2024, at 9:46 PM, on a warrant for Sixth Ward Court for contempt of court – violating terms of probation. Clay was booked, processed, and held on a $500.00 bond.
Shawn Jenkins, 47, of Morris St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2024, at 6:48 AM, on a warrant dated May 20, 2024, for criminal trespassing and resisting an officer. Jenkins was booked, processed, and held on a $3,000.00 bond.
Cameron Cleary, 23, of Abbeywood St., Youngsville, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2024, at 7:36 PM, on the charge of resisting an officer. Cleary was booked, processed, and released to appear in Third Ward City Court.
Brandon Cleary, 23, of Abbeywood St., Youngsville, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2024, at 7:36 PM, on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of failure to use seatbelts and failure to honor written promise to appear. Cleary was booked, processed, and released on a $125.00 bond.
Donald Davis, 17, of Hospital Ave., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2024, at 10:50 PM, on the charges of lights when required, driver must be licensed, and illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile. Davis was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Darien Hoskins, 18, of Highway 182, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on August 17, 2024, at 10:51 PM, on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. Hoskins was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Rocky Giroir, 22, of Forest St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 18, 2024, at 7:22 AM, on the charges of careless operation, driving on roadway laned for traffic, simple criminal damage to property, possession of schedule I narcotics (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia. Giroir was booked, processed, and held on a $5,000.00 bond.
