On December 27, 2023, at around 4:56 am, Jeanerette Police Department officers apprehended 28-year-old Devante Robertson for his alleged involvement in a series of vehicle burglaries across the city in recent weeks. The authorities recovered numerous stolen items linked to the break-ins. Robertson was then taken to Iberia Parish Jail, facing charges that include 7 counts of vehicle burglary, 2 counts of criminal damage to property, and 3 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
