On November 16, 2023, a juvenile was apprehended by the authorities following the shooting incident that took place on Ninth Street on the evening of November 15. The juvenile, arrested at 6:47 PM, is facing charges of illegal possession of a handgun by a minor and two counts of attempted second-degree murder. In addition to these charges, the juvenile was also arrested on a warrant for being an accomplice to aggravated battery, terrorizing, and two counts of simple battery.
The Franklin Police Department had initially been called to the scene around 10:11 PM on November 15 after receiving reports of gunshots in the vicinity. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a damaged vehicle along with a gunshot victim who was then taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Further arrests are anticipated.
