The Bayou Horseshoe Pitchers Association has concluded Week 8 of its Summer League for 2023, and the top five teams are as follows:
1st Place – Half & Half (47.0 – 25.0)
2nd Place – 75/25 (43.5 – 28.5)
3rd Place – Ring A Roos (42.5 – 29.5)
4th Place – Double Ringers (41.5 – 30.5)
5th Place – Wknd @ Burnies (36.5 – 35.5)
Individual leaders for high scratch point average include Tim Gilmore at 80.8 (30′), Burnie Williams at 75.1 (30′), and Clay Canty at 69.3 (30′). For high individual ringer percentage, Gilmore takes the lead at 59.6 (30′), followed by Williams at 50.0 (30′) and Canty at 46.5 (30′). In the 40′ category, Dale Pearce leads with a high scratch point average of 50.9 and a high ringer percentage of 31.5.
Top performances in specific categories include Tim Gilmore’s achievement of the highest scratch game score of both the 30′ and 40′ categories, securing a remarkable feat of scoring the most points on one night, as well as having the most ringers in one game and one night.
In team accolades, Half & Half scored the most points in one night, achieving an impressive total of 575 points, while Double Ringers earned the title for most ringers in one night with a count of 141.
It’s worth noting that Matthew Strickland grabbed the best won/loss record at an astounding rate of 10.0 – 2.0, and Mary Guzdial scored the highest game over average for women with a value of 19.9.
