In a spirited display of local solidarity, the Franklin City Council, alongside Mayor Eugene Foulcard, have resolved to name March 8, 2024, as “Garnet and Gold Day” across the City. The day will honor and boost the morale of the Franklin High School Basketball Team as they embark on their journey to claim victory at the LHSAA State Championship in Lake Charles on Friday. “On behalf of our city, I urge every citizen, small business, civic organization, and school to join in wearing Franklin High School’s official colors of Garnet & Gold, demonstrating our collective civic pride and unwavering support for the team! ” said, Mayor Foulcard.
