Beginning immediately, a section of LA 70 between Veterans Boulevard and Fig Street in Morgan City will be shut down to all through traffic until further notice, due to urgent drainage repairs.
A detour route for motorists has been established via Veterans Boulevard and Fig Street. Please note that a 10-foot width restriction is in place and no overweight loads are permitted.
Emergency vehicles will be unable to access the closed area of LA 70 during this time.
