A bicyclist was injured after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 90 in Patterson on Friday afternoon.
Patterson Police Chief Garret Grogan tells KQKI News that the male victim was riding his bicycle from Tiffany Street to Lipari Street, but was struck by a vehicle when he attempted to cross the eastbound lanes of Highway 90
Grogan said the victim sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a Lafayette hospital for treatment.
Patterson Volunteer Fire Department, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office and Acadian Ambulance also responded to the scene
