A mobile home on Clausen Road South in Verdunville sustained heavy damage as a result of a Thursday afternoon fire. Centerville and Franklin Fire Departments were dispatched at 12:44 pm with the first unit arriving on scene six minutes later and reporting fire and smoke showing. Fire suppression efforts began immediately and the fire was brought under control within 10 minutes.
There were no injuries reported to civilians or firefighters. The cause remains under investigation.
