White Castle Woman Charged With Identity Theft and Bank Fraud

BELLE ROSE– Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Lestreonia R. Rodrigue, 26, of 55410 Marque Street, White Castle, LA, on felony charges arising out of an identity theft / bank fraud investigation in the Belle Rose community.

A deputy responded to a complaint on October 16, 2019 and made contact with the victim in this matter who advised that on the previous day, she went to a business establishment to purchase gasoline and left her bank card with the cashier while she pumped her fuel.

The victim immediately noticed unauthorized transactions on her bank account.

Detectives commenced an investigation and immediately identified Lestreonia R. Rodrigue as a suspect.

A warrant was issued for Rodrigue in September of 2020.

Deputies made efforts to locate the suspect for some time. She was arrested in Ascension Parish on February 25, 2021.

Rodrigue was transferred to and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Identify Theft

*Bank Fraud

Lestreonia R. Rodrigue was released after posting a $20,000 commercial bond.
