Tammy Lynn Wilson, 52, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024, at her home.
Tammy was born August 31, 1971, in Morgan City, the daughter of Peggy Vaughn Morgan and Linwood “Blackie” Morgan.
Tammy was a devoted mother to her children, and she lived for her sweet granddaughter, Aaliah. Tammy’s greatest joys in life came from singing karaoke, dancing, and sharing laughter with her loved ones. Her playful sense of humor and love for her children and grandchildren shone brightly in all she did. She found solace in spending time with friends, coloring, and engaging in heartfelt conversations through text messaging. Tammy’s unwavering faith in the Lord was a cornerstone of her life, always finding comfort and strength in her Sunday church visits. Her gentle spirit and caring nature touched the hearts of all who knew her.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son, Trent Wilson and significant other Roni, Trenity Dewitt and husband Randy; father of her children, Shelby Morales; stepdaughter, Kenadie Bourque; granddaughter, Aaliah Dewitt; significant other, Michael Boudreaux; siblings, Tonia Gaspard and husband Aaron, Linwood “Woody” Morgan II and wife Jamie, Kevin Morgan and wife Misty, two godchildren, Aarie Gaspard and Layne Morgan; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Peggy and Blackie Morgan; brother, Mark Morgan; sister, Ramona Morgan Gregory; grandparents, Eugene and Gloria Vaughn.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Belle River Baptist Church with Pastor Robbie Rodrigue and Pastor Ronnie Mabile officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Belle River Baptist church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. After services, Tammy will be laid to rest in the Belle River Baptist cemetery. A reception will follow immediately after services in the Belle River Baptist Hall.
